Pelupa dan sembrono termasuk ADHD disorder?? Kenali ciri-cirinya

Gara-gara susah bedain jalan ke kanan dan ke kiri, ama susah nginget jalan-jalan yang baru awal dilewati, jadi bingung ini kekurangan yang biasa apa gara-gara aku kidal yak #hope not :). Langsung deh googling, masukin kata kunci "left handed weaknes". Malah ketemu ama ADHD disorder. Haduh, penyakit apa lagi ini?? kalo kamu merasa punya ciri-ciri diatas, langsung aja deh, check it out yaa. :)


Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is also known as hyperactivity or attention deficit disorder (ADD). ADHD is a common condition that affects children and adolescents, while ADD is more common in adults. (Intinya, penyakit hiperaktif atau kekurangan dalam memperhatikan (ADHD) adalah suatu kondisi kesusahan dalam memberi perhatian tentang sesuatu, biasanya pada anak-anak dan dewasa, namun lebih sering terjadi pada orang dewasa.--sorry for the bad translation).


Ada 3 tipe ADHD, yaitu:

Symptoms

ADHD used to be known as attention deficit disorder, or ADD. In 1994, it was renamed ADHD and broken down into three subtypes, each with its own pattern of behaviors:
1. an inattentive type, with signs that include:
  • inability to pay attention to details or a tendency to make careless errors in schoolwork or other activities (ketidakmampuan dalam memberikan perhatian pada hal detail / cenderung membuat kesembronoan dalam PR / aktivitas lain)
  • difficulty with sustained attention in tasks or play activities (Kesusahan dalam memberikan perhatian secara terus menerus pada tugas atau suatu aktivitas)
  • apparent listening problems (punya masalah dalam hal mendengarkan)
  • difficulty following instructions (Kesulitan dalam mengikuti instruksi)
  • problems with organization (Mempunyai masalah dalam berorganisasi)
  • avoidance or dislike of tasks that require mental effort (menghindari / tidak suka pada suatu kegiatan yang membutuhkan upaya mental)
  • tendency to lose things like toys, notebooks, or homework (cenderung menghilangkan sesuatu)
  • distractibility (bingung)
  • forgetfulness in daily activities (pelupa dalam aktivitas sehari-hari)
2. a hyperactive-impulsive type, with signs that include:
  • fidgeting or squirming (gelisah)
  • difficulty remaining seated
  • excessive running or climbing (sering berlari / memanjat)
  • difficulty playing quietly (susah bermain dengan perlahan)
  • always seeming to be "on the go"
  • excessive talking (sering bicara)
  • blurting out answers before hearing the full question (menjawab tanpa berfikir sebelum mendengarkan pertanyaan sampai selesai)
  • difficulty waiting for a turn or in line (susah dalam menunggu giliran)
  • problems with interrupting or intruding (mempunyai masalah dalam interupsi)
3. a combined type, which involves a combination of the other two types and is the most common
Although it can be challenging to raise kids with ADHD, it's important to remember they aren't "bad," "acting out," or being difficult on purpose. And they have difficulty controlling their behavior without medication or behavioral therapy.





Common Behaviors and Problems of Adult ADHD
The following behaviors and problems may stem directly from ADHD or may be the result of related adjustment difficulties: 
  • Chronic lateness and forgetfulness. 
  • Anxiety. 
  • Low self-esteem. 
  • Employment problems. 
  • Difficulty controlling anger. 
  • Impulsiveness. 
  • Substance abuse or addiction. 
  • Poor organization skills. 
  • Procrastination. 
  • Low frustration tolerance. 
  • Chronic boredom. 
  • Difficulty concentrating when reading. 
  • Mood swings. 
  • Depression. 
  • Relationship problems. 

These behaviors may be mild to severe and can vary with the situation or be present all of the time. Some adults with ADHD may be able to concentrate if they are interested in or excited about what they are doing. Others may have difficulty focusing under any circumstances. Some adults look for stimulation, but others avoid it. In addition, adults with ADHD can be withdrawn and antisocial, or they can be overly social and unable to be alone. 



Cara mengatasi penyakit ADHD yaitu:
  • Individual cognitive and behavioral therapy to enhance self-esteem. (terapi perilaku dan kognitif individu untuk meningkatkan harga diri)
  • Relaxation training and stress management to reduce anxiety and stress. (pelatihan relaksasi dan manajemen stres untuk mengurangi kegelisahan dan stres)
  • Behavioral coaching to teach the person strategies for organizing home and work activities. (pelatihan perilaku untuk mengajarkan strategi seseorang untuk mengorganisasi rumah dan aktivitas keluarga)
  • Job coaching or mentoring to support better working relationships and improve on-the-job performance. (pelatihan pekerjaan untuk mendukung hubungan dalam bekerja secara lebih baik / meningkatkan performa dalam bekerja)
  • Family education and therapy. (terapi dan pendidikan keluarga)
